Q: Nissan gt-r question?

Ok, so ive read tons of reviews watched tons of videos on the Nissan Gt-R, and well its probably the worlds best supercar for its money, i mean you can buy a used one for 65k? And this 65k car can perform better then a 200k porsche 911 turbo, as said in top gear.
Anyways, i know that it has launch control which gets it 0-60 in 3.4-3.5 seconds.. which is bloody amazing. BUT the problem is i heard that there is launch control problems, which basically destroys the trany which is really anoying.. because this car is basically to good to be true..
BUT i heard that they replaced the launch controls sytem to prevent this problem but in which models?? I am thinking of buying a used 2009 gtr for 65k but i dont know if it has the old launch control or the new one?

A: First, the GT-R is overrated, just like all the past GT-Rs have been. It’s a $100k car that is slower than other $100k cars, and weighs a good bit more. What’s funny, is the transmission’s launch control isn’t actually a feature that was intentionally programmed into the car for production use, but actually more of a glitch. That’s why after 2009 they don’t have launch control. It was removed completely because there was far too many transmission replacements, both under warranty and not warranteed. The transmission in that car is garbage if it costs that much and fails that easily. If performance is all that matters, then get a Viper SRT-10 ACR. No traction control, no launch control, no AWD, and it will still do 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. Or get a $55k Ariel Atom. It’s lighter and faster than the GT-R, and IMHO looks far better. Besides, no matter how much faster it is…Paying over $30,000 for a Nissan is a joke.

A: ZR1 without a doubt. I like the GTR Skyline but im not sure what i think about its latest styling. I guess i’ll have to wait till i see it in person.As for whos fastest I think you just answered that question for all of us.
Q: Chevy Corvette ZR1 vs. Nissan GT-R?
If you could choose between the Chevy Corvette ZR1 and the Nissan GT-R, which one would you choose, and why?
A: Nissan GT-R has good acceleration but its nothing compared to Corvette ZR1.
ZR1 will own GTR any day.
Q: Is this really a Nissan GT-R?

A: It loks to me like a spec/series 2 R33 Skyline GTR or GTS-T is hard to say front grill looks gtr not going by the badge also front bumper looks like the 400r version.
So i would prob say a 96-98 R33 GTR
Price will vary with mods and country where i live they go from around £6-7k up.
Q: The Nissan GT-R from fast & furious?
When Brian fully customized the Nissan gt-r, he placed a gauge screen in the middle of the dashboard that, I guess, would hook up to the obd interface plug of the car. When he was driving, it showed the screen multiple times. I would like to know where can I search up on a auto tuning website to find one of those screens and get a price quote on it.Any website that any body knows, can you please post. I am searching multiple sites but no cigar just yet on the exact or even similar screen that Brian had in the Nissan gt-r.

A: He was using a stand alone ecm. Many of these aftermarket ecm’s will hook up to a laptop for data logging and tuning. So the screen you saw was most likely taking the place of a laptop and displaying data from his ecm. Also search for aem ems.

Q: is the nissan gt-r or the scion tc a BETTER CAR for a TEEN?
i need to know.. i really like sport cars and i was looking into these two and also a mazda 3 but i really like the nissan gt-r and the scion tc better.. i really don’t know much about the nissan gt-r as much as i know about the scion tc.. so i REALLY need to know.. i need opinions from someone.. and i need them fast because soon i have to look for a car and i need to know what car i want and what car i have to look for..

Can a Nissan GT-R have a Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 Engine I know that the GT-R it not a Skyline but it does have the GT-R name like all previous Skyline had them and not to Mention its also R35 think R32,R33,R34, and R35 but i dont care if people say it isnt a Skyline but i do want to know if an RB26DETT Engine can be Installed in a Nissan GT-R ”09 or 10

Tomorrow i am delevering a 2010 Nissan GT-R to the new owner who happens to be 17 years old. Over $ 83,000 do you think it is like handing someone a loaded .44cal magnum?
Well I am up at 6:30 Am and going in to Meguire’s that GTR All Black car with summer Bridgestone Tires I will wipe off the entire car. I just hope the young driver is mature wants to learn how to drive and takes some high performance driving schools. What the heck I am just the GT-R technician.
At least at delevery the car will be as clean as it can be. I hope that 17 year old grows up quickly. I drive a 421 hp rear wheel drive car but I am 54 years old.
Well I met the family they all seem ok. The 17 year old was quite the gentleman. Watch out Houston TX he is heading your way!
I just hope he learns to shoot thru traffic and takes his car to Motor Sports Ranch Houston for some drivers training and a couple weekends at the Drivers Edge course at Texas Motor Speedway.

that is a very good question, and whoever is getting this is very,very lucky. the GT-R, i think i can safely say, is a supercar, so as a 17 year old, i would say YES GIVE ME ONE NOW, but if i was older and more sensible, i would say NO.
look at it this way, and how my australian government looks at it. when a person is on there P-Plates, there are a number of strict rules, from a limit on the amount of power you can have (GT-R brakes that), no turbo at all (breaks that one too, in fact it has 2 turbos…..) and no more than 6-cylinders (wow, it didn’t break one). so if you proposed this question to my government, they would probably faint. and i would have to half agree.
the GT-R, as we all know is a super car, it is faster then some ferraris, faster than a porsche turbo, or GT 2, laps the nurburg. in record time, etc. but we also now it is one of the most high tech cars on the planet, with some of the best grip and cornering ability in the world. whether this makes it safe is probably a given, NO. with a questionable amount of power….(look at the power to weight, and compare it to the acceleration times)…… ability to drag and drift with the best, and looks to die for, this car is NOT FOR SOMEONE IN THE AGE BRACKET YOU ARE DESCRIBING!!!

Q: how can i get a Nissan Skyline GT-R R34?
im looking to buy a really fast car. and one of my fav’s is the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 but cant seem to fine where to buy one. i know it not legal in america.
A: Motorex is the only retailer that will import and make legal an R34 for you. They import the R32, R33 and R34s. The cost for the R34 is around 100K but they handle all the paperwork and making it legal for the road. I have some friends who have gone this route and it worked great. Once in a blue moon you can also find one on Ebay. Search under Other makes in the Nissan section. Watch out because most of these adds are fake and the pictures of the cars are from magazine photo shoots. Happy hunting.
Oh I almost forgot. That US Nissan dealerships will not import a Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) car. It violates their selling agreement. You can however order a brand new Skyline (R35) from them

A: The first guy was right. It is coming out around August. It already came out in Japan and one has already been crashed.

Does anyone know how many of these cars will come/have come to the U.S.? I realize most of them have already been bought but I really would like to know if there will come a time when more will be available for non-celebrities and/or non-millionaires to purchase.
A: Just about anyone with $83,000 to $90,000 can own one today My Dealership has a Black one and a White one (get white) it is a beauty.Just paying for a car 5 or 6 years that cost as much as my Mortgage Balance. And what about insurance? Nissan wants these cars to be rare so the import numbers will be kept low like only 4,500 cars.

A: 2009’s have the old launch control system. Nissan ordered dealers to reprogram it in 2009, meaning it was already being sold.
But… going to put my $0.02 in.
Gt-R isn’t the best supercar for it’s money. I’d have to hand that to the zr1, or z06.
